Chevron Lampshade (Kind of)

A crafter always has the best of intentions. We're just trying to release our creative spirit and make the world more beautiful. Good intentions.

What's frustrating for an artistic soul is when something you create doesn't turn out the way you had envisioned it. Example?

My 'chevron' painted lamp shade:

Um. No. All those unclean edges are sooo not what I had in mind. It kind of resembles an Ikat print, so I tell myself it's ok... maybe even cute in a messy quirky way.

It's practically an improvement from its former plain state.
Right?

Perhaps one of these days I'll take a fine paint brush and touch up the edges. Maybe I'll keep it as a reminder to find beauty in inperfection. ;)

Cheers to trying!

XOXO,

  1. I love it! Perfect or not, I think it's adorable. Especially with that lamp base!
